Picking a therapist can be a really daunting task.  Not only are you trying to make sure your personality meshes with the therapist, you’re also trying to figure out if what they do feels that it will be helpful to you.  Unless you have a psychology background, you may not know what all these terms and treatment modalities mean.  To help you understand a bit better how I work as a therapist and what it might be like to work with me, I’ve broken down some of the most important approaches and modalities that I use in my clinical work in clear, non-therapist-y language.
